Julene Baker PSA Artist Statement: In my series of flower paintings ('Pastel Petals') the emphasis is capturing light and shadow that is so fleeting. The color and nuances of flowers have always intrigued and fascinated me, and hope that others viewing my oversized petals will find them as breath taking as I did painting them.

I find with each painting the flowers God created become even more interesting and lovely. I look forward to spring, as many of the flowers grow in my garden, with no help on my part for their beauty, and are painted for the most part in their natural setting
