Laura, born in Waltham, Massachusetts, was influenced early on when she visited the Museum of Fine Art in Boston with her mother as a small child. Self-taught from an early age, she later studied at Massachusetts College of Art.
Laura's works vary in a many mediums including acrylics, mixed media, pastels and watercolor pastels. Her abstract paintings are often of planets, moons and deep space. She usually uses bright colors and rich textures in her work.
She is a member of the Boynton Beach Art District in Boynton Beach, FL which is Instrumental in promoting art, art education and art in public places. Besides having art displayed at the Neighborhood Art Gallery, her public art pieces are featured in the installation art project, Art in City Spaces, Boynton Beach, FL.
