Karen R. Phinney Online Art Listing
Karen has been painting from youth, and has experimented in several media. She began with oils, and after many years of water colour painting, has returned to them (and occasionally acrylics). While in Fredericton, N.B., she attended classes at the New Brunswick Craft School, under the tutelage of Brigid Toole and Steven Scott, as well as workshops with Molly Lamb Bobak and others. Her subjects range from interiors and landscapes to abstracts, and she has shown at the AGNS Art Sales and Rental shop, the Art Pieces Gallery (Bedford) and participated in other shows. Works have been donated to the Phoenix House auctions, and she worked as a volunteer for several years with Phoenix Youth, being known as 'the Art Lady'. Her works hang in Canada, Australia, Switzerland, Japan, and New Zealand.
