Bob Young received his art education at York University (BFA, 1983). His recent landscape work focuses on the features of the Niagara Escarpment: patterns of pine, birch, cedar, and other tree species; rock outcroppings; and stacked layers of land. Working in acrylic on canvas, Bob's work incorporates a variety of techniques: flat opaque areas, transparent glazes, loose scumbling, and heavy impasto worked wet-in-wet.
