 Porter's Pool II Gwen Pentecost Online Art Listing Raised in an artist's household in Carmel Valley, Gwen Pentecost grew up with the process of making art from an early age. Although she explores a range of subject matter, her passion is the landscape of the Southwest, from New Mexico to California, from desert canyons and high mountains to the seashore. She balances her outdoor painting time with painting in the studio adjoining her gallery, Joyous Lake, but enjoys painting plein air most of all. One of the best times to paint in the White Mountains is the fall season, when the aspens turn the mountains a deep yellow gold. |
