Cameron artist statement: My paint application process of dripping multi colored layers of pigment creates a fabric like surface texture and optical depth perception that defies a two dimensional surface. Viewers of my work are inspired when they discover that the vast layers of abstract color create representational imagery depending on the distance from which they view the art. The style is loose and whimsical at first glance, then, Ah Ha, it transforms into a detailed painting filled with depth. It is like getting two paintings in one. |
