 Nude 1 Michelle de Villiers Online Art Listing Michelle de Villiers's artist statement: I was born and raised in South Africa. An avid artist from a young age , I attended the Aab Tamsen Art School in Pretoria. After school I did a degree in engineering, worked and completed my Masters in Engineering Management later. During this time I did pottery, painted and sculpted as time allowed. I also dabbled in writing children’s stories and did some murals. After moving from South Africa to Chile, then the USA, Indonesia and finally Canada, I am now sculpting mainly in clay for bronzing, and painting in acrylics. I have work in private collections in various countries, and do commissions. I have participated in exhibitions, juried shows and auctions. |
