 Therapy Martha Lucía Vega Online Art Listing Martha Lucía Vega's artist statement: Since I was very young I have always been deeply attracted to Plastic Arts, drawing and painting overall, and portrait and human figure have always been my biggest interest. My main purpose into my work is to be able to express myself, and I find that symbol of expression in people, that is why I am so attracted to this, therefore it's my work's main subject. I don't use an unique style, portrait or human figure are represented in a realist, surrealist or abstract shapes, depending on the topic, or else to define a clearler personality of the protagonist in a portrait. With my art I want the image to talk by itself, to be alive. I am a very fortunate person when I am able to express myself through my paintings, when I can share my art and when I can make people enjoying my work, I think this is my biggest purpose and satisfaction, to be able to contribute to that and when I know that there is someone who identifies him/herself with one of my pictures. |
