 Light and Shadow Chuck Marshall Online Art Listing Chuck lives and works in Lebanon, Ohio. Most of the time Chuck can be found outside painting en pleine air in the surrounding countryside. En pleine air translates from French to English as in the open air, and describes painting outdoors rather than studio painting. His respect for the tradition of landscape painting shows in his work and his work ethic. He admits he can't reproduce nature in his paintings because nature itself is the highest art form, but that's not really his goal. Instead, Chuck strives to capture the beguiling appeal of nature's wonders - its light, form and color. |
