 Badass Paul Sirimongkhon Online Art Listing I'm originally from Vientiane, Laos. Moved to America in 1979 to attend college after living in France as a political refugee. Before that I lived in Australia, and Thailand. all of which probably influenced my art somehow. I'm still trying to figure that all out. So, my journey continues... My "art" journey has really been about self discovery, knowledge and mostly freedom. I detest structure and like to break art rules. Which is why I chose abstract art. I've doodled since I was a child but started taking my painting seriously the past 7 years. It has been quite an interesting journey trying to keep up with the world and making time to paint while running a skateshop, playing music at bars, and working fulltime as a graphic/web designer. But all in all I think art should have a life of its own and you cannot control this beast or it'll control and ruin you. It demands freedom too and respect. I've been given time, now I give time for my art to grow with me. |
