 Aurora Zelimir Stanojev Online Art Listing Zelimir Stanojev was first inspired to draw by his father, who used to be an art teacher at elementary school. But Zelimir chose a career in Mechanical Engineering rather than follow in his father's footsteps. Interest in painting reappeared in 1998. His first drawings were done by ink & pen on paper. Later, he specialized landscape painting. He is best known for his genre painting of rural and urban landscapes, which he paints in realistic style. He exhibited his works at several shows and exhibitions in York Region, Ontario, Canada and won Honorable Mentions in 2006 and 2008. In 2009, “Aurora – Yonge St. 1940” painting was a Winner in Preserve Aurora category at 2009 Art Aurora Show held by Town of Aurora. The Town has purchased the painting for its collection. Zelimir is a member of Society of York Region Artists (SOYRA) and participates enthusiastically in their activities. | ||||||
