So often we run through today's harried, high-speed world with no time to slow down and take a deeper, slower look at anything.
I rebel. I stop and take a closer look at the flowers. I find the stories they tell me, the impact, the drama. Then I pack each image full of time and depth by using very long, slow exposures and hand-painted light. The hand-painted light allows me to tell the stories in unique ways. I often use magnification to take people closer to the flowers. Some images contain days of effort.
By packing so much in, I believe these images continue to show that deeper, slower look long after the initial glance.
