Formally educated and painting for over 40 years mostly landscapes on location and more recently large format interpretations in the studio. For several years I have been working on the eastern shore of Virginia, in the fishing village of Wachapreague, mainly as the sun is rising. Since every day has a different beginning one need not go searching for subject matter, just stand still in the same place and the world will show its stuff. Although, don't hold me to this as I get involved in still-life as a matter of teaching in the studio, and pastoral scenes as well.
