Catherine Robertson Online Art Listing
Growing up on the West Coast and spending her first twenty-five summers on her family's boat, Catherine fell in love with the outdoors and it's incredible beauty.
From seashore to mountain top, flora and fauna are the subject of her paintings, put forth in a glorious display of light, shadow, and vibrant creative colours.
Catherine's work is sought after for its beauty, drama and clarity. Her response to what she sees and feels leaps from the canvas loudly and clearly, yet invites the viewer to enjoy it in his or her personal way.
She is largely self-taught, however, has enjoyed guidance under such professional artist as Allen Edwards,FCA, Prof. Zadak, University of Prague, and Prof. Hsui, University of Taiwan. Her paintings are in both private and corporate collections in Canada, US, and Germany and Japan as well as the private collection of the Federation of Canadian Artist. In addition, she was awarded an Award of Merit from this same institution.
Catherine lives in White Rock, instructing classes and workshops when she is not painting new images of the Creator's wonderful world.
