 Fly Monika Welch Online Art Listing Artist Statement: I am a self-taught artist of two years and I feature already in 6 New Zealand galleries and soon-to-be in the USA. The latter ....all thanks to Painterskeys. I am inspired by a phrase read from a book, a piece of music, an overheard whisper, life encounters and the behaviour of others. MY paintings are sometimes stories, usually not and do not require much depth or soul-searching on my behalf anyway. I enjoy mainly the initial idea, the process, the loneness and solitude. Much later I enjoy the wait until they sell. |
