 Sunflowers Nicole Carrie Online Art Listing Nicole Carrie artist statement: I am relatively new to the art world, having started painting in 2005 after retiring from a successful 20 year career as the owner of a Ladies clothing store. Although I have not had any formal training as an artist I believe that I have had a lifetime of preparation. I learned drawing skills and developed an eye for design and proportion from the fashion illustration courses I took while studying Apparel Design at George Brown College in Toronto. Then, throughout my retail career, my seasonal buying required me to be able to "hold" a colour in my head and to be able to mix and match fabric texture and colour. |
