Cathy DeWitt Online Art Listing One of Gainesville's best-known musicians, Cathy DeWitt's strong points are her versatility and the professionalism she brings to every event. She plays piano and guitar, and sings styles of music from classical to jazz and rock. She has performed with the UF Chamber Singers, Paul Luciano's Big Band, jazz pianists Rob Bargad and Dave Frishberg, songwriters Tom Paxton and John McCutcheon, and radio personality Garrison Keillor. Her performances in the Gainesville area include concerts at the Center for the Performing Arts, the Thomas Center, the Harn Museum, and events for Stop! Children's Cancer and the American Heart Association. She directs the Music in Medicine program at Shands Hospital, hosts the folk music program 'Across the Prairie' on WUFT, serves on the board of the Gainesville Friends of Jazz, and as Music Director for Unity Church of Ocala |
